The d × D × B envelope is the first selection constraint for small shafts and housings. Open and ZZ widths are listed separately where the source catalogue provides both values.

Miniature Ball Bearings · Metric Miniature Deep Groove Series
This metric miniature deep groove series covers the 1–10 mm bore range listed in the current LUMI selection catalogue.
Search by model or d × D × B to compare model-level dimensions, Cr, C0r and catalogue speed values.
Closure, lubrication, precision and internal clearance must be checked against the actual speed, load, fit, noise and operating environment.

Open and ZZ widths are listed separately where applicable. Limiting speeds are catalogue values in ×1000 rpm; suitable application speed depends on the final bearing configuration and operating conditions.

Request Technical InformationMiniature deep groove bearings provide shaft support in limited installation space. The current catalogue covers 1–10 mm bore sizes; the listed dimensions and ratings apply to the individual model rows rather than every miniature bearing configuration.

The d × D × B envelope is the first selection constraint for small shafts and housings. Open and ZZ widths are listed separately where the source catalogue provides both values.
Deep groove geometry primarily carries radial load and can accept limited axial load in either direction. Actual capacity depends on the model, fit, speed, lubrication and load condition.
Catalogue speed values are model-level references. Raceway quality, internal clearance, mounting fit, load and lubricant also influence operating speed, noise and rotational consistency.
Load direction, alignment, contamination, temperature, installation and lubrication affect bearing life. These conditions should be reviewed before a production specification is released.

The raceways, balls and cage form the load-carrying assembly. Optional shields or seals retain lubricant and limit contamination; their effect on friction and operating behaviour must be considered separately.

The rolling elements remain accessible because no closure covers the raceway. This avoids closure-related contact and can simplify lubricant access.

Metal shields help retain grease and reduce entry of larger particles. Their non-contact or limited-contact arrangement normally adds less closure drag than contact rubber sealing.

Rubber sealing provides stronger dust and moisture protection and improves grease retention. Sealing contact can add drag compared with open or shielded options.
| Configuration | Protection | Grease retention | Relative closure drag | Typical selection priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Open | Low | Low without surrounding control | Low | Clean assembly and lubricant access |
| ZZ / Metal Shield | Medium | Medium | Low to medium | Balanced protection and running behaviour |
| 2RS / Rubber Seal | Higher | Higher | Higher | Dust, moisture and lubricant retention |
Available options depend on the model and application. Listed series capabilities are not default specifications for every model.

Compact motor assemblies require stable shaft support. Speed, running noise, fit and repeated duty influence the bearing configuration.
Application details
Bearing fit, clearance and lubrication affect vibration, rotational stability and running consistency in compact, higher-speed motor layouts.
Application details
High rotational speed, low rotating mass and vibration sensitivity make fit, lubrication and running consistency important selection inputs.
Application details
Low runout, smooth rotation and dimensional consistency support repeatable feedback and positioning in compact encoder assemblies.
Application details
Combined loading, alignment, lubrication and limited installation space should be checked for small gearbox shafts and gear stages.
Application details
Operating duty, noise, temperature and repeat-production consistency often determine closure, clearance and lubricant selection.
Application detailsSend the model and operating conditions so the available configuration, sample scope and supply requirements can be reviewed before production.
Material, closure, precision and internal clearance can be reviewed against speed, load, noise and installation conditions.
Grease or oil arrangements can be reviewed against speed, noise, temperature, duty and surrounding conditions.
For a new project or supplier replacement, samples can support dimensional, running and application evaluation before bulk production.
Marking, packaging, approved specification control and repeat-order requirements can be reviewed where applicable.
Use the shaft diameter for d and the available housing envelope for D and B. The table can then narrow the listed models by those dimensions. Check load, speed, fit, closure, lubrication and operating environment before releasing the final specification.
Send the model or d × D × B dimensions, application, speed, load, noise requirement and expected quantity. Our team can review the available configuration with you.
